Milano Classica 2017-2018 Progetto Boethius
Music is the evolution of art, elusive, but capable of capturing and transforming it and amplifying every other artistic language, from poetry, that is its sister, to literature, to dance, to sculptures etc...
All arts and all other activities of the spirit are involved by music, not only: music is also a science, that contains a numerical code like arithmetic, geometrical structures that can be two or three dimensional like in geometry, a profound field of study and rhythmic-harmonic constructions that are infinite like in Astronomy thanks to Boezio's prompt and competent work in his Quadrivium, from 500 a.C to today we can thrive from all of the things that Plato and Pythagoras and other scholars from the distant past gathered to teach to man the beneficial virtues of this universal language. The monographic concerts that will be held in the Palazzina Liberty tell the stories of the great Maestri of the past and present, they explain the meaning behind their music, their encounters with other musicians and artists of their time and how the relationship between them and the society in which they lived influenced their music. In this way these story telling concerts will be able to make a new public approach music, a public that is young, neophyte, capable of discovering, capable of listening and vibrating at the same with the interpreters which are for the most part young and very young as well. |
